Hi moi fellow raid whores, my name is Mervinliena.
Before patch 4.2 is released, it is best that Sinestra is unlocked in order to satisfy our raid-satisfaction hunger or wat ever you call that. Besides....... Sinestra drops Item lvl 378 loots rabbit

Please take 45 mins of your life to read this thread and watch the video. Do not rush through this guide, Chogall is no easy shit.

In this guide, it is assumed that we use 7 healers, 2 tanks and 16 DPSers, this raid setup might change if needed.

Phrase 1 (Part A, Before Adherant Adds are spawned.)

Raid Positioning: We will do what we have done for Normal Mode. Stacking up behind Chogall's Candy ass.

Abilities of Chogall in Phrase 1 (Part A):

1. Flame Order: A fire elemental will spawn and if it is not dpsed down, Chogall will consume it and gain a Melee Damage buff , depending on the Health of the Fire Elemental. During Flame Order, Random Fire patches will spawn around the room.

Solution to Flame Order: Ignore Fire Elemental and Tanks Burn CD to survive it. (If this is too hard, we will have to assign DPSers to kill Fire elementals before it get consumed by Chogall)

Tank : Use CDs, if u are out of Cooldowns, be prepared to ask the other Tank to taunt, this might change whose tanking adds. However, be prepared as we will be practising for the first few attempts.

DPS: Avoid Fire Patches and constantly check your position each time the raid moves due to Fire patches. Make sure conversion can be interrupted IMMEDIATELY.

Heals: Same as Dps and Help tanks on the Cooldowns due to Flame Order's Damage Buff.

2. Shadow Order: A shadow elemental will spawn and if it is not dpsed down, Chogall will consume it and cause a RAID WIDE Shadow Damage, depending on the Health of the Shadow Elemental.

Solution to Shadow Order : Ignore Shadow Elemental and Use Healing CDs to survive this. (If this is too hard, we will have to assign DPSers to kill Shadow elementals before it get consumed by Chogall)

Tank: Use Your Tol Barad Trinket : Mirror of Broken Images if u have and can. If not, just carry on tanking and pray.

DPS: MAKE SURE U FUCKING DPS EVEN HARDER

Heals: Aura Mastery, Power Word Barrier, Divine Guardian Etc. Use Cooldowns to help heal through this.

4. Conversion: Mind Control random raid members and causes them to worship chogall. Each Second of worship will enable Chogall to gain a Damage Buff.

Solution to Conversion: DUH, AOE INTERRUPT DUH DUH DUH........... it must be done immediately or the tanks might die.




Phrase 1 (Part B, ADHERENT ADDS ARE SPAWNED pale !)

Abilities of Chogall in Phrase 1 (Part B):

Two Adherent adds will spawn, these adds will cast:

1. Depravity: Causes raid wide shadow damage.

Solution to Depravity: Assign a stable interrupt order, Every cast must be interrupted

2. Corrupting Crash: Target an AOE Shadow Damage on random raid members at RANGE of the Adherent Add.

Solution to Corrupting Crash: Assign 5 DPS to stand at range of the Adherent Adds, while the rest of the raid can stack on the Adherent Adds. Also, we can also let some melee dpses to stay on Chogall during this phrase due to the importance of DPS.


3. Festering Blood: who cares bout this ability...... All we should do is Kill the Adherents before Chogall cast this and ensure the new Blood adds are gather up well for our RANGE Dpsers to AoE them down.

Solution to Festering Blood (Adherent and Blood of the Old God Adds):

Tank on Adherents: Assign an area for the first adherent and second adherent to be killed at. The position of the two dead adherent should enable the "Blood of the Old God Adds" to be gathered up easily via Hunter's Slow trap for Efficient AOE by our DpSers.

DPS on Adherent: Please control your dps and ensure that the Adherent Adds are killed subsequently and around their Designated spot as suggested by the tank or raid.

DPS on Blood Of the Old God Adds (After Adherent Dies):These adds should be slowed by Hunter's Trap and also, it is strongly suggested that elemental shamans and boomkins are specced with Tidal Wave and Thunderstorm in order to push back adds closing onto the raid. IF THIS ADDS DIE NEAR U , YOU GAIN MORE CORRUPTION.

Heals: Nothing much here, just heal up and keep every one alife if possible.

3. Conversion: Mind Control random raid members and causes them to worship chogall. Each Second of worship will enable Chogall to gain a Damage Buff.

Solution to Conversion: Exact same ability as seen in phrase 1 Part A. However, it will cause a lot more chaos as everyone is not stacked up. I would suggest assigning a few ppl to interrupts conversion during this phrase. Maybe a charging warrior or a resto shaman wind shearing?



PHRASE 2 , THE END OF ALL TIME

Raid Positioning:
Tanks: Chogall to be position back facing the raid On this Throne.
Heals: Some distance directly behind Chogall ( Maintain distance to heal everyone)
Melee DPS: Kiss Chogal's Ass but remember to kill adds (Darkened Creation)
Range DPS: Some distance on the left and the right of Healers position

In this final phrase, it is a dps race and healers' final stand. All Range and Melee DPS MUST PRIORITIZE KILLING & INTERRUPTING darkened creation (Adds). Please do not care bout DPS meters, Adds must die or we die even faster.

CORRUPTION METER IN PHRASE 2 , Inevitable and unstoppable.

THIS IS THE KILLER IN THIS FINAL PHRASE.. PLS KNOW HOW TO SURVIVE OR EVEN MANIPULATE THIS.

Corruption Meter at;

25%: Dispellable Debuff that causes player to gain more corruption (Healers please dispell)

50%: Player will Vomit, any one infront a cone area of 5 yards will take shadow damage

Solution to 50% Corruption: PLEASE FACE AWAY IF U CAN, IF NOT, MOVE AWAY AND MAKE SURE NO ONE IS INFRONT OF U.

75%: We hate u , nothing we can do to stop this, basically u will cause AOE damage to the whole raid.

100%: Since we hate when u were at 75%, make us love u , 100% corruption reduce healing done to player by 100% but increase damage done too and for spell casters, all your spells are instant. Just push watever dps u can.

Prepare for lots of wipes on this boss. Please do not get emotional, this is one of the hardest hardmode, besides nefarian.

Seems very ranged and healer dependent. Wonder if lust would be better off start vs last 25%? Or at least at 30% to push for last phase. You guys got this!

Doubt we will do it on 25 men,

however, some of u can form 10 men group and try it out even in patch 4.2.

The reason why it is encouraged to kill it is because sinestra will be unlocked and the trinkets from sinestra are very useful for most of patch 4.2, such as Shard of Woe----> good for healers and maybe arcane mages.
