Refer to the dungeon journal preview for a list of abilities and mechanics to get the rough idea of how this encounter goes.

http://www.wowheadnews.com/blog=189265/dungeon-journal-preview-all-seven-firelands-encounters-unveiled#beth-shannox (Dungeon Journal)

Raid Composition
2 Tanks
3 Heals
5 DPS

2 tanks are definitely needed in this encounter to deal with the Jagged Tear ability. Range DPS will have a slight advantage in this fight since Rageface goes around leaping at random people making it a dps loss for melees to chase after Rageface. No interrupts required for this fight.

Phase 1
Once Shannox is engaged, Rageface will goes around raging at random people by leaping on them and uses the Face Rage ability. This ability will only stops when it receives a single attack that deals at least 30,000 damage.During this period, Rageface will also be 50% more susceptible to critical strikes. DPS should try to use their highest single target nuke that hits for more than 30k damage(after crit ofc) to interrupt the ability. MT will pull Shannox and tank it facing away from the raid.OT will taunt Riplimb and tank it 30-40 yards away from where the Shannox/MT is at.There are 2 things that every raid member would have to take notice, Immolation Trap/Crystal Trap and Hurl Spear. Both traps are placed below random raid members throughout the encounter and it takes 2 sec to arm. Failure to move out of the trap before it activates will result in unnecessary AoE damage and incapacitated effect.Hurl Spear are cast by Shannox occasionally at nearby Riplimb.OT would have to pay close attention to Hurl Spear since the area of impact would most likely be near him.The area of impact are marked by a glowing red spot on the ground and failure to move out of it would most likely kills you. Immediately after the spear strikes the ground, a swirling of fire eruption will trigger around the impact zone.Stay away from the line of fire to avoid taking additional damage. The OT has a big role to play in this fight as the timely removal of jagged tear stacking dot are based on how well the OT does his job.Basically the OT will always try to tank Riplimb 30-40 yards away from Shannox and also nearby a crystal trap.Immediately after Shannox uses Hurl Spear, the OT will tries to trap Riplimb with the nearby crystal trap.By trapping Riplimb with this manner,it will take Riplimb longer to retrieve the Shannox's spear and thus allows the jagged tear stacking dot to expires.Take note that Shannox will not cast Arching Slash whenever hes not holding the spear.Phase 1 ends when Shannox reaches 30% or when both the dogs dies. The best way to deal with this mechanic is to burn Rageface down asap to lessen the healing stress and then dps Riplimb down to 5% and Shannox down to 35% before killing off Riplimb and pushing to 30% at roughly the same time.

Phase 2 (Enrage)
Ideally phase 2 should start went Shannox is ard 30-35% and both the dogs are dead.Upon reaching this phase, it is an all out burn phase before the tanks gets overwhelmed by the stacking bleeding effect. Traps and Hurl Spear will still be cast during this phase, with the exception that Hurl Spear will now be cast on the tank instead of where Riplimb is.

Tank Role
Pay close attention to the Jagged Tear stacking ability and the Hurl Spear ability. Both tanks should try to position each other away from one and another in order to allow longer travelling distance between Riplimb and Shannox.OT will tank Riplimb nearby a crystal trap and trap it upon seeing Shannox uses the Hurl Spear ability.Shannox is immune to taunt and always tank facing away from the raid.

Healer Role
Designate 1 healer on Shannox,1 on Riplimb tank and 1 healer on whoever that is taking damage from Rageface. After Rageface dies, the assigned healer can help out with raid and tank healing.Pay close to whoever that is taking damage from Rageface as the leap+aoe fire damage from Hurl Spear might kill someone. When the Jagged Tear stack is high, additional big heals might be needed on the tank.

DPS Role
Burn Rageface down asap upon engage.Rageface has no aggro table so its safe to go all out on it.When Rageface uses Face Rage on someone, use your highest single target nuke to stop it.Balance the dps between Riplimb and Shannox after Rageface dies for a smooth transition to phase 2.Dont stand in trap and fire.

First choice boss for Firelands! I will be going shadow for this, 3 targets seems tooooooo appealing for it.

For facerage, I would suggest assigning a mage (which ever spec) to do the 40k thing, since they are range and bursty with spammable spells.

As for tanks, it will be quite an interesting fight. List out all the tanking cooldowns and plan which tank uses wat cooldowns and how many taunts to be made. I guess we should focus on testing that out on the first few attempts Very Happy

On a side note, we can 2 heals for 10 men??? 1 pally and shammy..... i wanna own u in dps botc. Cool
